1. Australian Awards Scholarship

• It also covers travel expenses such as plane tickets.

• It is a one-time payment that covers the price of housing and study materials for students.

• A bi-monthly stipend or Contribution to Living Expenses (CLE) is also provided to support your living expenses in Australia.

• For the period of your study in Australia, you can also take advantage of the benefits of an Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).

 

To be eligible for this scholarship, you simply must be accepted into any graduate school in Australia.

2. Destination Australia Scholarships

The Australian Government's 'Planning for Australia's Future Population' effort includes the Destination Australia programme. On November 8, 2021, the scholarship was announced. One of the distinctive features of this scholarship programme is that it admits students studying at Australian universities from anywhere in the world. Furthermore, this scholarship is not just open to overseas students, but also to Australian citizens!

3. Research Training Program (RTP)

The Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) superseded the earlier International Postgraduate Research Scholarships Program in 2017. (IPRSP). This programme seeks to provide financial assistance to both domestic and international students who aspire to pursue a Research Doctorate or Research Master's degree in Australia. It rewards grantees with a variety of benefits, including.

• Students who apply for this award may be eligible for a full tuition grant.
• It also provides an RTP stipend that can be used for housing, transportation, and other living expenses.
• A supplementary allowance is included in the RTP to assist with other costs such as printing a research thesis, the cost of publishing academic research, and student health insurance coverage.

If you have completed your postgraduate level of higher education, you may be eligible for this scholarship. However, you must recognise the RTP programme in your published research work as a condition of your scholarship.

University-specific Australian scholarships

1. University of Sydney International Scholarships

Candidates who are eligible to pursue a Postgraduate Research Degree or a Master's by Research degree at the University of Sydney are encouraged to apply for the University of Sydney International Scholarship (USydIS). For PhD students, the USydIS will pay tuition and living expenses for up to three years, with the potential of a one-semester extension.

2. Macquarie University International Scholarships

The Macquarie University Vice-International Chancellor's Scholarship is given to international students who have excelled academically. This very competitive prize is awarded to future students based on academic merit. It offers outstanding students a partial tuition price grant to attend an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Macquarie University.

The scholarship value varies from AUD$10,000 to AUD$10,000 and is allocated to your tuition expense. It is not a renewable resource. To avoid disappointment and to give yourself enough time to arrange your student visa, you should apply at least two to three months before the Session begins.

 3. University of Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarships

The University of Melbourne developed the Graduate Research Scholarship, which is given to high-achieving local and international research students. Tuition waiver, living allowance, relocation grant, and abroad student health insurance are all included in the scholarship perks.

4. Adelaide Global Excellence Scholarships

The University of Adelaide Global Academic Excellence International Scholarship is a highly competitive grant that recognises international students who are beginning undergraduate or postgraduate coursework and have previously exhibited academic excellence. The scholarship pays for half of the tuition costs.

5. Flinders International Postgraduate Scholarships

Flinders International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (FIPRS) are awarded to suitably qualified applicants who wish to pursue a full-time research higher degree at Flinders University – up to two years for a Research Master’s degree and up to three years for a Research Doctorate degree – for up to two years. International student tuition prices, living allowance, establishment allowance, relocation costs, and airfares are all covered by the scholarship.

6. UNSW International Scholarships

International undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students who are starting full-time study at UNSW are eligible for a variety of scholarships and awards. Scholarships might cover all or part of your tuition costs, and some even provide a stipend to help with living expenses while you're studying.

7. Melbourne Research Scholarships (MRS) 

Melbourne Research Scholarships are available to domestic and international students pursuing any graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne. This scholarship programme awards over 350 new and continuing students.

• Recipients receive a tuition cost waiver of 100 percent and a stipend of up to AUD 110,000.
• Academic merit and research potential are used to evaluate applicants.
• Those with professional expertise and published writings will be given priority.
• On the basis of their admission applications, new incoming students are assessed.
• Continuing students must apply for a Melbourne Research Scholarship separately.

Melbourne Research Scholarships are given out on an annual basis and can be renewed. The Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarship will be offered individually to selected applicants.

8. Australian National University Scholarship

The ANU provides a fully funded scholarship. You need not submit a second application as you’ll be considered for all graduate research scholarships (wherever you’ll be eligible)

9. Monash International Scholarship For Excellence

This scholarship is awarded to the top ten overseas students in Australia who are studying Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate. When a student applies for a Monash undergraduate degree through VTAC and has an ATAR of 98.00 or higher, they will be automatically eligible for this scholarship

Scholarship amount will be given yearly. When students enrol for the courses for which this scholarship is available, they will be automatically considered for it. A separate application is not required.

10. Rotary Peace Fellowships

Each year, Rotary chooses up to 130 international peace and development leaders to earn fully financed academic fellowships to study peace and conflict resolution and prevention at one of the partner peace centres throughout the world (USA, Japan, UK, Australia, Sweden, Thailand, Uganda). Each year, up to 50 master's degree fellowships and 80 certificate fellowships are offered. Tuition, fees, housing and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses are completely covered by the fellowships.
